Portrait of Mina Shahriari

I design clarity inside complex systems.

Before product design, I studied architecture — a field that taught me to think in systems, constraints, space, and human behavior. Today, I bring that same mindset into complex B2B SaaS products — especially cybersecurity, compliance, and risk platforms — where dense workflows need to become decision-ready product systems.

My strongest work sits at the intersection of information architecture, workflow design, data-heavy interfaces, and AI-assisted product experiences — the messy middle where dense rules meet human decisions. I’m drawn to B2B products where the challenge isn’t only visual design, but helping users make sense of rules, workflows, and trade-offs.

Outside work: motorbike trips with my husband most summers, photos of strangers, detective films (every case is a puzzle of evidence and motive).

My path

A short history of getting here.

  1. 2024 — Present

    ResilientX

Product Designer + Design Engineer. Design Lead on an EU compliance automation platform — turning regulatory complexity (NIS2, DORA, CRA) and dense cybersecurity data into interfaces experts can act on.

    • End-to-end UX ownership across the multi-product platform (UEM, TPRM, Trust Center) — partnering with founders on product strategy and mentoring a junior designer.
    • Single-module → multi-product. Led the UX evolution into a platform with scalable patterns that hold across NIS2 / DORA / CRA frameworks.
    • Consolidated fragmented features into one coherent information architecture — so multi-product compliance reads as one platform, not many.
    • I design in code — Vue + Tailwind + shadcn-vue, no handoff gap between design intent and what users actually see.

    Panpalz

Product Designer · B2C. In the modern world, making meaningful connections and preventing loneliness — especially among vulnerable groups — poses a significant challenge.

Panpalz offers a supportive space for meaningful interactions, promoting mental well-being and ensuring everyone has a reliable companion during challenging times.

    • Led a small UX/UI team — improved design cohesion across screens and aligned the work to product goals.
    • Shipped 30+ high-fidelity screens, with focus on the companionship section.
    • Built the design system from scratch — components, colour, typography — for visual consistency across the app.
    • Ran quantitative user research to ground decisions in real user needs.

    Burgermania

Product Designer. Limited food details on existing delivery apps affect user decisions and weaken the link between customers and restaurants.

Burgermania improves information transparency and introduces an engaging loyalty program — boosting overall restaurant profits and customer trust.

    • Owned the full UX/UI process, prioritising information transparency to build customer trust.
    • Designed a gamification layer into the ordering flow — deepening the bond between users and restaurants.
    • Ran two rounds of usability tests (5 users each), iterating after each round — the before/after fixes shown below came directly out of those sessions.
  4. 2012 — 2023

    Architecture

A decade across study, practice, teaching, and research. Architecture taught me to design around people, constraints, structure, and scale — the same mindset I now bring to product systems.

    • Master Thesis · Politecnico di Torino · 2022Qualitative research on inclusive, user-centred design — improving active ageing and social inclusion for people over 65 in Turin neighbourhood houses.
    • Designer Intern · LGC ingegneria architettura, Turin · 2021Detail-oriented documentation and design across diverse projects — translating constraints into precise, client-aligned outcomes.
    • Interior Designer · Oxin Company, Ahvaz · 2019Empathetic interior solutions built on direct, sustained dialogue with clients and stakeholders.
    • Teaching Assistant · Shahid Chamran University · 2018–2019Guided students through Architectural Design I and Introduction to Architectural Design II — breaking down complex design thinking into accessible, hands-on coaching.
    • B.Arch · Shahid Chamran University · 2012–2016Graduated 17.63 / 20, recognised as an Exceptional Talent student throughout the programme, and served as Research Assistant on a study of urban design's impact on citizen health.

Beyond design

Most summers, my husband and I disappear on a motorbike. I take photos of strangers. I watch people. I notice details.

Now based in Italy, endlessly curious about places, movement, and art. These aren't hobbies — they're how I stay curious.
